COLONEL DAWN C. LANCASTER Colonel Dawn Lancaster is the Vice Commander, 78th Air Base Wing, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The Wing’s 4,600 personnel are directly responsible for all logistics, medical, civil engineering, security, and mission support functions. As the Vice Commander supporting Georgia’s largest industrial complex, Colonel Lancaster provides facilities and equipment support for the base’s 37 hosted units, including a major command headquarters, an air logistics complex, and 4 wings on the 8,722-acre installation. She is responsible for the management of facilities and equipment valued at $6.9 billion and the execution of a $161.8 million operating budget. Additionally, Colonel Lancaster trains, deploys, and redeploys over 6,500 Airmen in support of Air Expeditionary Force and combatant commander requirements. She is also responsible for the morale and welfare of 24,000 Airmen and their family members.Colonel Lancaster received her commission from the U.S.Air Force Academy.
