Eleanor Granum, Founding President

For over 20 years, the Houston-Peach Branch nominationed  a local volunteer for the Eleanor Granum award. This award  honored a woman or man who had shared time, energy, and knowledge through volunteer service to others in Middle Georgia area (Houston and Peach counties). The award was given at the May meeting.

Eleanor Granum was the Founding President of the Warner Robins branch. She and her husband raised their family here, and she gave volunteer service through the years in countless ways on the local and state level, without regard to recognition or reward. Eleanor remained active in the Houston-Peach Branch until her death on April 27, 2019. This award recognized others who shared Eleanor’s enthusiasm for assisting others, and who served without recognition.
